CBH Group - Australian Grain Centre Plant Tour
Wednesday 8th October 2025
The AgVocateWA 2025 CBH Group Australian Grains Centre (AGC) Forrestfield Plant Tour provided members with a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the grain supply chain beyond the farm gate. Thanks to the support of CBH Group, members received exclusive access to facilities and operations that are not typically available to the wider public, creating an invaluable educational experience.
During the tour, attendees were able to see firsthand how grain quality is assessed, how samples are tested and stored, and how grain moves through the logistics network before reaching domestic and international customers. The experience helped connect the dots between on-farm production and the complex systems involved in grain handling, storage and export. The opportunity to observe quality testing and logistics operations in action gave members a greater appreciation of the work undertaken after grain leaves the farm.
For many growers and young agricultural professionals, the tour was an eye-opening experience that provided greater visibility of where their grain goes once it leaves the farm and how Western Australian grain is managed throughout the supply chain. The event encouraged discussion, learning and stronger connections across the industry, while reinforcing AgVocateWA's commitment to developing informed and engaged future leaders in agriculture.
AgVocateWA would like to sincerely thank CBH Group for sponsoring this event and providing exclusive access to the Australian Grains Centre and Forrestfield operations. Their support enabled members to gain valuable insight into the grain quality, storage and logistics processes that occur beyond the farm gate, helping growers better understand the journey their grain takes from paddock to customer. We greatly appreciate CBH Group's ongoing commitment to supporting education, industry engagement and the next generation of agricultural leaders.
